Welsh Heritage Week (WHW) offers a variety of classes to suit every interest, all fun and pressure-free. Choose the ones that call to you, and enjoy the rest of the week soaking in the culture, music, and community.

Welsh Language

Whether you're a complete beginner, a fluent speaker, or somewhere in between, our Welsh language classes are fun and supportive, never overwhelming.

Welsh Literature

Explore Welsh literature and poetry through lively discussion and learning.

Eisteddfod Competitions

Prose and poetry competitions in Welsh and English are adjudicated, with winners recognized at the WHW Eisteddfod.

Music

Ysgol Gân (Singing School)

Learn to pronounce and sing traditional Welsh hymns in four-part harmony, under the direction of an experienced conductor. The hymns are performed at Sunday's Gymanfa Ganu.

Welsh Choral Music Session

Learn some of the great choral works of Wales in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

Session Band

All instruments welcome. Learn to play traditional Welsh melodies and dance tunes, then perform them for the dance on Friday night.

Harp

Lessons offered at Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced levels.

Folk Dance

Learn Welsh folk dances with an emphasis on authentic style and technique. Open to everyone, regardless of experience — beginners are always welcome.
